Consent Collection Process
The following screenshots demonstrate how Ciclo collects explicit consent from users during the account registration process. All users must actively agree to receive communications via email and SMS before they can complete their registration.
Step 1: Contact Information Collection
Users provide their contact information including phone number during onboarding.

Screenshot Details:
- • Page: Step 2 of 3 - Contact Details
- • Fields Collected: Your Name, Email Address, Phone Number
- • Purpose: Collecting contact information for service delivery and communications
Step 2: Explicit Consent & Legal Agreements
Users must actively check a single checkbox agreeing to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy, plus two separate SMS consent checkboxes - one for transactional messages and one for marketing messages.

Screenshot Details:
- • Page: Step 3 of 3 - Online Presence & Legal Agreements
- • Checkbox 1 (Required to proceed): Combined agreement to Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy - does NOT include any SMS consent language
- • Checkbox 2 (Optional): Explicit opt-in for transactional SMS - account alerts, service notifications, and campaign status updates. Includes: "Reply STOP to opt out; HELP for assistance. Message & data rates may apply."
- • Checkbox 3 (Optional): Explicit opt-in for marketing SMS - promotional offers and product updates. Includes: "Reply STOP to opt out at any time. This consent is optional and not required to use Ciclo's services."
- • User Action Required: Active checkbox selection (not pre-checked). SMS consent is never required to create an account, per TCPA and CTIA guidelines.
Compliance Statement
Explicit Opt-In: All checkboxes are unchecked by default - users must actively select each one. Pre-checked boxes are never used.
Legal Agreements Separated from SMS Consent: The legal agreement checkbox (ToS, Privacy Policy, AUP) is completely separate from the SMS consent checkboxes. Agreeing to legal terms is not bundled with or conditioned on SMS consent, per TCPA and CTIA guidelines.
Separate Use Case Consent: Transactional SMS and marketing SMS are presented as two fully independent checkboxes, each with its own disclosure language, per TCPA and CTIA single use case opt-in requirements.
Fully Optional SMS Consent: Both SMS checkboxes are optional - users can complete account registration without checking either. SMS consent is never a condition of service.
Opt-Out Mechanism: Both SMS checkboxes include "Reply STOP to opt out" and "HELP for assistance. Message & data rates may apply."
Regulatory Compliance: This process complies with TCPA, CAN-SPAM Act, FCC Regulations, and CTIA Messaging Principles.
